Here's my informal, conversational, weekly-ish email. My goal is to connect, inform and include you in everything that’s happening in our Church. There are lots of ways to connect at the House!
Happy Holiday week! I’m sending this early so you know what to expect this week regarding services: all services are canceled, including Coffee & Theology (Wed), Open Mic and Doors Night (Thurs), and Sunday Service the 28th (Sunday after Thanksgiving). But we look forward to a cheery December together. Make plans to be in-person Sundays in December, and be on the lookout for a few holiday parties that might be popping up!

Mark your calendars for the HCT Kids' Holiday Party/Parents’ day out on Saturday, Dec. 11th, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at the church. Food, crafts, art, and fun will be had by all. Ask April Hammonds for details.
Home for the Holidays
Join me in person on Sundays, or online on Zoom, at 10:30am in December at our Fellowship Hall. Kid’s church provided. Masks are optional, and wristbands are available to indicate your comfort level in social distancing.
Zoom! If you cannot make it in person, login to join via Zoom at 10:30am:https://zoom.us/j/4263965521
Open Mic and Open Doors
Another night to connect: Thursdays in December at the church, we will have open doors and open mics as the worship band practices from 5:30-7:00 p.m.. If you want to participate, bring an instrument or your voice and the door will be open for you to join us.
We loved these so much last year that we purchased them again for everyone this year! There are TWO: one for families, and one geared more for adults (even though it’s just as fun!). Below are the links to access digitally. April Hammonds has printed copies waiting for all families with kiddos at the church, so you may get yours from her the next Sunday we are together. Otherwise, you can view them and print them on your own here:
Food pantry and community outreach: we are able to help so many families both monetarily and through our food pantry. As we gather in the church building again, please consider bringing dry goods to restock the pantry. As always, if you need anything, please take it!
Belonging to this community is very special. The love and support that is shared here is a mystery that continues only by tremendous helpings of grace and patience. Together, we walk through tough times, we heal, we rejoice, and we become the change we want to see in our families and cities.
House Church is a spiritual hub for many. It's a spiritual homebase. I invite you to gather with me these Sundays during the Holidays to pray and sing and dance together. Let's shed our tears and hold one another and usher in this new season that is begging to be born within and among us.
My family and I are heading out of town for the holiday to be with family. I look forward to connecting with you all again next week and pray you have a peaceful holiday! I hope to worship with you next Sunday, December 5th.
