House Church meets in a fellowship hall on the first level of a Lutheran Church, so it’s very low-key and easy going. HCT is not a Lutheran church, per se, but rather it is identified as non-denominational. Pastor Rob Martin and his congregation at First Lutheran, have welcomed House Church Tulsa with open arms and it’s been an amazing partnership to share space with them.
The people at HCT are friendly and down-to-earth. They aren’t typical “church people” which is probably a good thing. You’re sure to find someone with whom to connect and make you feel right at home.
The services are little different each time. In general, you can expect a warm welcome and prayer, announcements, worship songs, a message by a Pastor, and communion. It’s not always in that order but the purpose of each service remains the same which is to connect with and care for one another, worship God together, grow in faith, and pray together. Our greatest act of worship is to love one another, and remind each other who we are and why we are here….and that’s what these services try to make space for each time.
Dress comfortably and casually. There are people who come in shorts and some in suits. Be you.
