Happy Thanksgiving Week, House Church Folks! The holiday season is upon us, and we find ourselves faced with decisions we have never had to make. And while we sit in the presence of uncertainty and grief, we are invited to take comfort in God's presence of peace and allow God's joy to be our strength. We are invited to be creative, honest and hopeful as we remember the basics of our holidays and rest in doing what we can, doing what we will, and statying in peace with the choices we make. I pray you can relax and enjoy a deep sense of security in Christ during the days ahead.

House Church has great ways to connect this season that will bring you some cheer! But before that, it occured to me this morning that we have welcomed eight new families to HCT during the pandemic! And since we have not been meeting in person up to this point, please go out of your way this week to reach out via text or phone call to welcome them to HCT and let them feel the love! Everyone is in the directory app: www.instantchurchdirectory.com/app - download the app and login with your email. Their names are listed down below. Now, onto more good news...

HCT Advent: The church building will be open! Yes, OPEN! We are trying something creative and different by opening the church for what I’m calling an “Advent Worship Experience.” Saturdays during Advent, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., you and your family and friends can come to the church for an open-house-type worship experience. The atmosphere will be peaceful, calm, quiet and friendly. There will be glowy lights and candles, soft music, and special advent worship stations prepared for self-guided contemplation, reflection, art, and prayer. It is during Advent that we prepare ourselves to receive the mystery of Christmas. I hope you will come and enjoy our space again and use it as a place of respite, calm and light during this season.

All of this begins THIS Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28th, and continues through Saturday, Dec. 19th. Come each Saturday, anytime between 4-6, and plan to spend approx. 30 mins or so enjoying the worshipful space for your Advent (bring donations for our food pantry, and/or take what you need). Masks required.

Lindsey House Party Details: Good news! Even though we are not able to host our annual Lindsey House Christmas Party this year, they asked if we would still be willing to provide the meal because they love it so much! How could we say no?!

So, House Church, we are excellent chefs and are on the hook to provide their Christmas meal! If you brought something last year, please consider making it again, and if you want to jump in this year for the first time, please do!

Lindsey House will be hosting their own party at their brand new facility, and HCT will provide and serve food, and run the annual gift card drive for the moms and kiddos. YAY! Are you in? Thank you in advance for your overwhelming love and support for Lindsey House!

Sign up to make a side dish for the meal, give a gift card and/or serve at the party: https://signup.com/go/yQAMaiU

Donate toward the gift card drive (we will buy the cards on your behalf or bring stuff with you on Saturdays to the church): https://www.housechurchtulsa.com/giveIf you don't know about Lindsey House you need to! Learn more here: http://www.lindseyhouse.org/
