Dear House Church, grace and peace be yours. Welcome to our new people receiving this weekly-ish email for the first time! This is an informal, conversational, easy-going email from me, Pastor Bonnie, and I always try to make it as short as possible so that you’ll read it, but that's not always easy since we have a lot happening.

As far as the church service plan for the remainder of August, let’s keep going with Zoom Church at 10:30 Central Time on Sundays.

I know for some of us this is extremely disappointing, and I don’t disregard your feelings or opinions in the least. But be encouraged and stay connected. My philosophy on this is simple: we can be part of the solution in our city by not gathering, and allow some time and space between social groups, instead of pretending the cases aren't increasing. I make this decision from love, and not from fear as I am not afraid to lose you, which is partly why I can make a decision like this in the interest of people's physical and mental health. I want you to be healthy!

About Zoom church, it lasts about an hour with fellowship time following the service for those interested. Zoom church is a unique experience and provides a different context for connection. I hope to see you there..be sure to have your communion ready. And, do tell your friends from around the country as this is a great way to include them in your House Church experience.

Parents! THIS SUNDAY have your students log on, 9:30-10:00 for a back-to-school blessing with April & Jerry.

Regarding meeting together in safe ways as the weather cools, YES! We need each other more than ever. There are plans in the works now for backyard gatherings, another camping trip, weekly house churches, etc.  Personally, I would like to host a few Covenant Connection Listening Circles on grief, forgiveness, peace. There’s a book study on “Walking the Bridgeless Canyon” starting in the fall, probably over Zoom, and maybe another class, or two, that will include “Conscious Discipline” for parents. Ok! I’m getting carried away. But all that to say, the enriching, spiritual support that you’ve grown to love and depend on is ramping up for a healthy, active fall season.

If you haven’t been around in a while, shoot me a text or give me a call! I’d love to catch up with you and hear what’s going on in your life...or come sit on the porch with me! The pastors and leaders pray and speak blessing over you daily. Your wellbeing matters.

Belonging to a community like ours is healthy for both the mind and the body. Studies have shown that frequent interaction with a loving spiritual community reduces blood pressure, boosts the immune system, and lessens anxiety. True belonging is healthy for your spirit, soul and body!

It’s the joy of my life to be in a loving community with you.

Love Insists,

Pasor Bonnie
